Kennel Technician

Summary of Position:

As with each position at the shelter, the kennel staff plays a vital role in keeping our kennels a clean, sanitized and safe environment for the animals. Along with cleaning, our kennel staff assists with feeding, providing medication, laundry, and other assigned duties.

Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator

Summary of Position:

The Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator will organize and implement the marketing and fundraising activities of HELP the Animals in partnership with the Shelter Director and Board of Directors. This position will report to the director on a weekly basis and be available to attend events and meetings as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with the board in writing grant proposals
  • Help identify and solicit new potential donors
  • Create and strengthen relationships with current donor database
  •  Assist with fundraising events (vaccination clinics, Pet Walk, etc) in partnership with the board, staff and volunteers
  •  Actively participate and coordinate outreach programs such as wellness fairs and other community events
  • Assist in implementation of advertising and marketing: website, social media, newsletters, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure fundraising and other events are staffed

Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience in fundraising and grant writing
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Able to work effectively with the board and director
  • Able to bend, stoop, and routinely carry at least 50 lbs
  • Able to work a varied schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • Able to effectively handle a wide variety of roles including strategic planning, communications, fundraising, data management and technology
  • Experience in an animal welfare organization and or working knowledge of companion animal care and adoption issues

Job Type

Part time contractor position; no benefits

20 hours per week with the ability to work from home
